What’s your position with World Hope?

Senior Pastor of Hope Church and CEO for World Hope International Kenya

Tell us about your wife and child?

My wife, Jeanrose, is my best friend and life partner. She is passionate about social justice and loves to be an advocate for others. My young daughter, Wema, is a confident, sweet princess and she loves to play. She clings to me, and I love it.

If you could do anything you wanted right now, what would it be?

I would want to record a song and shoot a video about Hope with the kids at Hope Academy and Hope Senior School. Anything I can do, whether big or small, to make Jesus famous and change the world in the process is what I want to do.

Where do you most want to travel, but have never been?

I would really love to visit Israel and see where my Savior walked and lived, and I’d also like to visit Hawaii with my family.

Coke or Pepsi?

If you could eat only one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Chapati, a Kenyan delicacy!

Watch sports or play sports?

Watch sports- yeah!

Favorite bible verse? And why?

Romans 8:28, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

Think about it: when you love God and are called according to his purpose, all that happens to you happens for you and not to you. The good and the bad all builds up to work for your good.

What does the word ‘hope’ mean to you?

The best way I can explain what hope means to me is to envision a stadium packed with fans cheering “Don’t quit, God is with you!” Faith rests on understanding, but hope rests on the will.

2016 is just getting started, what are you most excited about with World Hope Kenya?

I am so excited about the theme of “giving back.” Our members are being equipped to share Christ with others, to be uplifting, and to provide resources, service, love, help and encouragement to each other and others. As a result, we are sharing Christ one-on-one like never before, going to children’s homes, and so much more.  I also can’t wait to see the building finally finished! God is amazing. We will have a restaurant, extra classrooms and offices.
