The year is coming to a close and I am overwhelmed with all the Lord has done with us and through us. In our earlier reports, we shared that we were able to purchase the building in Detroit to begin the first K-LOVE Hope Center. Since then, we have seen the building begin to blossom into the place of Hope God intended for it to become. Though we have not yet arrived, the journey has already been incredible, even miraculous. We now have The Hope, a vibrant and young church, as the anchor for sharing the Hope of Christ and being a huge part of our hands and feet in the community. Pastor Jerel Bland and his team are already an integral part of World Hope and they are fully committed to the vision we have for the K-LOVE Hope Center. We are so thankful to the Lord for giving us such wonderful partners in Detroit with a love and burden for seeing this great city come to Jesus.

In September, a great gathering of volunteers and over thirty-five pastors from across the country visited us at the Hope Center and, as we sat together in a very cold room with no heat, we saw God give this burden and vision to these very special people. We believe that a fire has been lit now among pastors and churches, and we are already beginning to see movement in the Revival of Detroit.

After a great World Hope Celebration Dinner in October, the month of November brought us what was perhaps the biggest day of raising awareness in the history of World Hope. Over the course of a one-day event on K-LOVE Radio, we reached listeners from across North America and we were overwhelmed at how people began to share and take ownership of the vision to reach the at-risk youth of Detroit. Because of this event, we now have the capacity to minister to over 1,000 children during the next year. How’s that for a Thanksgiving? Thank you, Lord!

Just in the last two weeks, there have been truckloads of clothes, toys, and many other needed items brought to the center to be shared at Christmas with our surrounding community.

God really has done more than we could have asked for or even thought of, and all of that leads me to say that our word going forward is anticipation! We anticipate the Lord doing more in 2015! We have the resources now to do ministry. It’s not just buildings, not just potential, but the reality of ministering to the city, every day. Though ministry had already begun, it will now grow exponentially. All of that is because of the Lord’s blessing, and because of you, our giving partners, who have seen this with us and walked with us into this new “world” of Hope.
