We were honored this month to have a part in the K-LOVE Fan Awards weekend at the spectacular Opryland Hotel and the historic Ryman Auditorium. Thousands spent the weekend at the Opryland with the top Christian music artists in the country, listening to concerts and having fan “meet & greets.” The event, hosted by the Robertson family from the hit television show Duck Dynasty, was an incredible success.
On Saturday evening, the event moved to the Ryman Auditorium and awards for best artist, best song, best athlete, best author, best Christian film, etc., were given to the recipients as voted by the fans. There were wonderful performances by Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith, Stephen Curtis Chapman, Casting Crowns, Toby Mac and so many others. The four-hour show was the highlight of the weekend and above all, the Lord was lifted up high. All weekend long, it seemed that all everyone talked about was how gracious God was to all of us, both in our salvation and in our daily walk.
World Hope was able to host a silent auction at the event and raised over a $20,000 for our works around the world. From signed guitars to Disney Vacations to a year supply of coffee, all of the items auctioned off represented dollars that will go directly to help someone find hope in life and hope in eternity. We would like to thank John Sanders, the event organizer, and K-LOVE for allowing us to help host this event and for allowing us to be a part of something far bigger than award shows…for allowing us to help bring the World Hope.
