In case you haven’t heard, the World Hope team has been sailing the open seas and island hopping on the Music Boat with our friends Premier Christian Cruises and Third Day. We are so honored to have been selected as the official sponsoring non-profit organization for the cruise. It has been a wonderful opportunity with too many great experiences to type in this short recap.
From the onset, the Premier Cruise Team has done a wonderful job of creating memorable experiences for all onboard. Honestly, from watching Third Day, the official host band, open up the cruise by doing a pool deck jam session as we all watched the Miami skyline fade in the distance, to David Crowder rocking the boat (literally!), to Bello Nock completing the first ever tight rope walk across the ship, to Jeremy Camp and all the other great performers coming on the boat with their A game, it has truly been a magical experience. Not to mention the great speakers like David Nasser, Josh Hamilton and Russ Ortiz and others who shared their stories and testimonies that have surely touched many lives.
“The boat that built the school” has been the common tagline on the Music Boat this week. Last night, Mr. Nasser shared the story of World Hope and our vision to expand Hope Academy in Nairobi, Kenya. This will give us the ability to bring in hundreds of hopeless children from Kawangware Slum and give them an education and hope for the future. As he shared the vision, our fellow cruisers began to see the need and responded by raising right over $60,000. What an incredible way to end an incredible week.
