Wednesday, August 3, 2011 marked the end of yet another successful term at World Hope Academy that saw the school benefit and grow to even greater levels. This term saw a very successful sports’ day where kids displayed their talent on the track and in other various sports. Winners were awarded handsomely for their generous efforts toward making this great event a success. We also had visitors from the United States who truly came and made a difference by holding a successful medical clinic that gave all students and staff the chance to be checked and treated for various disorders that they had. This was a huge blessing! They also shared with our teachers their experiences back at home in the teaching field, and this helped our teachers improve in their approach toward handling the students with the new methods learned.
We concluded the term by holding a talent show and music extravaganza event, and we saw kids walk the runway where Mr. & Miss. Hope 2011 were crowned. We also saw this term as a success because our kids and staff came together to help build our church by going out into the community with contribution cards and appealing to the people to at least donate something towards the good cause that is building our church.
The closing day and awards ceremony was also a huge success as the top performing students and most improved were awarded with gifts for their great effort, thus encouraging them to keep on with the good work. We have to thank our teachers for their endless effort and support towards molding these students to be better than they were before. We see the school growing to be one of the top class Christian schools in all of Kenya.
