Hope Church Matasia was launched on February 2, 2025 and is located in Ngong Matasia inside Joram Gitau Memorial Academy. Our vision is to be a vibrant and passionate church who is changing the world for Christ. Our mission is to inspire and disciple believers to become world changers for Christ.

Since February, we have had a constant gathering of people, totalling about twenty-five adults per Sunday, and twelve children. We continue to pray that God will add to our number as we are obedient to fulfilling the great commission around Matasia and beyond. As a result, we have celebrated 12 salvations, three baby dedications, and 16 graduates from our discipleship class. To God be the glory!

We desire to add more families to the church. One of the ways we do that is by planning and executing vibrant church services that are rooted in the Word of God. We desire to reach out to the community through worship services, group events, and AWANA.

Our Sunday children’s services are growing, and will kick off AWANA next month. AWANA stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed and is designed to help children grow in their knowledge and love of God.
We believe that to have a thriving church, we need to focus on the development of our children as it pertains to the Word of God. This, we strongly believe, will lead to a thriving youth and adult ministry for the church in return.

The goal is to get children to come to church every Saturday for the AWANA program and every Sunday for church services. We have seen how effective AWANA has been at our other church campuses, and we know it will be a great ministry tool in Matasia as well.
