Karin Story – Clinic Trip 2024
I met a lovely woman named Faith Mungania (The Jewelry Maker) and we talked about her life, and she was such an amazing person with an amazing story. She told me that she was diagnosed with Stage I ovarian cancer a few years ago and she had surgery to have it removed. She told me that after this she got very sick and got very weak and was in an ICU for a long time. She had to spend a significant amount of time in recovery and could not walk at some point. When she was finally healed, she found God and was able to open her jewelry shop. She said that it has been a dream of hers to run this business and sell jewelry and it has finally come true with the grace of God. She said that she is motivated every day to keep going because she has survived cancer, and she believes that God will keep her going and sustained as long as she keeps her faith. She said that she loves her job because she is able to use her talents as an artist and she is so proud that a lot of her work is made from things that she finds. Her goal is to continue to work and grow her business to support herself. Her greatest fear is that her cancer will return, and she will not be able to work and support her family.
